Yadegar Asisi’s panorama project ‘TITANIC – The promise of modernity’ was named ‘Best of the Best’ at the 2017 Red Dot Design Awards.

A special exhibition on the ancient metropolis of Pergamon was on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York from 18 April to 17 July 2016. The unique exhibition project was created in partnership with the antiquities collection of the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. A video installation was also shown as part of the exhibition, which depicted the first sketch and final panorama by Yadegar Asisi.

In Leipzig, Yadegar Asisi and his team are presenting photographs of a garden in bloom. CAROLA'S GARDEN reveals the beauty that lies right on our doorstep from the point of view of a grain of pollen, as if seen through the lens of a giant microscope.

Using text and images, this retrospective focuses on the panorama installations created by Yadegar Asisi between 2003 and 2015. The immersive art form is brought to life across 170 pages and fold-out sections.

The 360° panorama ‘TITANIC – The promise of modernity’ has been taking visitors on an underwater expedition to the North Atlantic resting place of the sunken passenger liner since 28 January 2017.

As an extra attraction for visitors while the Pergamon Museum is being renovated, the SPK (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) is building a temporary exhibition venue opposite Museum Island, at Kupfergraben. It is due to open with Yadegar Asisi’s Pergamon panorama in autumn 2018.

The 200-page illustrated tome ‘LUTHER 1517’ encapsulates Yadegar Asisi’s artistic take on the subject. Descriptions of the complex narrative scenes that make up the panorama, as well as numerous examples of Asisi’s artistic studies and close-up photographs, serve to illustrate his approach.

A rotunda has been built in Lutherstadt Wittenberg to display the LUTHER 1517 360° panorama. With a height of 18 metres and a diameter of 30 metres, the rotunda opened on 22 October 2016. The exhibition rotunda will stay open past the anniversary of the Reformation until 2021.

The 360° panorama ‘GREAT BARRIER REEF – The magical world of the coral reef’ by Yadegar Asisi was the recipient of a 2016 Iconic Award in the ‘Architecture, Event/Exhibition’ category.

In Summer 2016, French art magazine Connaissance des Arts published, for the first time, a special edition on Yadegar Asisi and his panoramas.
