This richly illustrated lecture was held by the panorama specialist Dr. Stephan Oettermann. He showed the participants round about the history of the panorama.
Today, we often use the word panorama. However, it was first invented as an artistic term to describe a new form of expression in the 19th century. During the lecture other fascinating forms of visual entertainment in the 19th century were presented. These then provided not only a kind of mass entertainment, but also a school of visual skills.
